Another Football Post

In case you didn't know this already - we watch A LOT of football. We can't help it. We watch the Broncos rain or shine. We've abandoned the Seahawks. They stink and I'm a fair weather fan (no shame). We watch the Huskies. Even if they are stinking it up. We watch Sunday night. We watch Monday night. We watch Thursday night. We watch a game if it's a good rivalry, the teams are in the same division or if the game is close. Did I say we watch a lot of football? Well we do. So we've been training Jackson. He genuinely likes football so it hasn't been hard. He has a Husky jersey that he wears every Saturday. He has tons of Broncos gear (thanks to his nana and papa) and tons of Seahawks gear (thanks to his grandma and grandpa). He knows how to say football... it's 'ball-ball' and he says it a lot. Lately his cheers have become more and more enthusiastic. "Ball-baaaaaaaallllll" is heard echoing through our house at all times of the day. I think we have the bases covered to raise a football fanatic.

The photos were taken at a new playpark in Maple Leaf that Jax loves. His favorite thing to do is to put the sand on all of the slides. I'm sure all of the other kids love this... we are working on not doing this anymore.

Last night we had a big furry blanket on the floor. Jax put his head down, snuggled in and said "nigh-nigh". Cory said "yes that blanket is very nice isn't it?" This exchange went on for a couple of minutes. I finally figured out that Cory thought he was saying 'nice-nice'. Hilarious. We laughed about that one for a while.

Jackson understands directions (notice I said understands and not obeys). I will say "let's go to the back playroom" and he will start walking there. I will say "go get your basketball" and he gets his basketball and starts making baskets clapping for himself between each point. Cory will say "no Jackson do not pull on the electrical cord" and with a sly grin looking right at his dad he will pull that cord right out of the wall. Last night the boys got into a bit of a stand off. Jackson pulling on the cord and Cory standing over him saying "no Jackson". Finally Cory put himself between Jackson and the outlet at which time Jackson would pretend like he was going for the cord and laugh. Yikes.

Jackson has been having some
How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet
Rich and rare
Beneath the trees without a care
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky
Twisting
Turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow
